Markbygden 1101 is a wind farm which, when completed, will be largest onshore wind farm in Europe with 1101 wind turbines producing around 10TWh annually, which corresponds to the supply of electricity for 400 000 Swedish households, or 7% of Sweden’s total electricity consumption. The wind farm is located approximately 70 km southwest of Luleå.

In May 2008 the Swedish Company Svevind applied for a permit to build and operate the Markbygden Wind Farm. The project consist of more than 1,000 wind turbines, and an extensive road infrastructure to be deployed in the Arctic region of Piteå.
